DESCRIPTION:Jolly Roger 5K\nRun with us in person for awards\, or virtually to support the choir.\nWhen: Saturday\, August 19th \nTime: 8:30am Start Time \nWhere: Starting at Palmyra Macedon High School bus loop (Parking available in the main parking lot at the High School) then continuing right out of the bus loop with a quick left onto Foster street.  At the four way stop runners will make a right onto Stafford Rd.  They will continue on Stafford Rd until they they reach Temple Rd.  Runners will turn left onto Temple Rd and follow that to the turn around.  This course has been mapped out this year to reflect the correct distance. \nWhy: The Jolly Roger  5K is one of the key fundraisers for the Palmyra-Macedon Select Choir.  Proceeds support the domestic and international travel of the ensemble. This is a fun race with a great vibe.  Feel free to wear your pirate costumes to run in.  The choir students will be on the course to cheer you on throughout the race! \nAwards ** Updated for 2023\nOverall M/F\nTop M/F in the following age groups 14 and under\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+ \n** To be eligible for awards you must race with us in person. ** \nBathrooms will be available pre and post race. \nPost Race: Water and food will be available to the runners as well as an awards presentation after the race. \nT-Shirt: Register by July 19th to get a race T-Shirt. \nFinisher Medal: Register by July 19th to get a finisher medal \nPacket Pick Up:  Packet pick up this year will be at the Palmyra Macedon High School Bus Loop on 08/18/2023 from 6-8pm or pick up at race location day of race. \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\nAbout the Palmyra-Macedon Select Choir\n\nThe Select Choir is a group of students in grades 10-12 who are dedicated to vocal music and academics. In addition to their regular school concerts\, the Choir is committed to musical community service throughout the area\, and presents the annual Madrigal events each December. The ensemble has performed extensively throughout the east coast\, including Boston\, New York City (Carnegie Hall in both 2014 and 2017)\, Philadelphia\, and Chicago. International tours include Germany\, Austria\, Switzerland\, England\, Scotland\, Wales\, Greece\, and Italy. \n\n\n\n\n\nCourse Description\n\nStarting at Palmyra Macedon High School bus loop (Parking available in the main parking lot at the High School) then continuing right out of the bus loop with a quick left onto Foster Street.  At the four way stop runners will make a right onto Stafford Rd.  They will continue on Stafford Rd until they they reach Temple Rd.  Runners will turn left onto Temple Rd and follow that to the turn around.  This course has been mapped out this year to reflect the correct distance.  This course consist of town roads with minimal shade so make sure you come prepared for the sun or rain.  There will be water available at the half way point of the road as well as first aid. \n\n\n\n\n\nFinisher Medals\n\nFinisher medals for the first 100 registrants! \n\n\n\n\n\nT-Shirt\n\nRegister before July 19th to get a short sleeve cotton t-shirt!

DESCRIPTION:Are you ready? \nCome to the stadium on August 18 to compete in the official Rochester Beer Mile. \nWhat is a “Beer Mile”? \nIf you’re unfamiliar with a traditional Beer Mile\, the event has historical roots in the running community. The Beer Mile was usually only held underground but was held as a professional event for the first time in 2014\, finally legitimizing a long-standing but previously unofficial race. \nThe rules are as follows: Drink 1 beer\, run 1/4 mile. Repeat 4x. \nCompete Solo\, in a 2 person relay\, or in a 4 person relay.\nYou can choose to run both relays if you like.\nYou can also choose to run the solo and the 4×4.\nYou may NOT run the Solo and the 2×2 as there will not be enough recovery time in between. \nThere will also be a party area where individuals can relax\, drink\, and hang out even if they are not competing. \nThere will be prizes for each category: \n\nFastest men’s solo\nFastest women’s solo\nFastest 2-person relay\nFastest 4-person relay\n\nWe’ll be donating proceeds to Cystic Fibrosis research. \nWe can’t wait to see all of Rochester’s Runners come out and participate in this historic and fun event. \n***NO RUNNERS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 WILL BE PERMITTED TO COMPETE.
