SUMMARY:Crosswinds Run Series
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nWelcome to the Crosswinds Run Series! Join us in Canandaigua for a late-summer tradition that’s been bringing runners\, walkers\, families and the community together for over 23 years. Formerly known as the Crosswinds 5K\, the Crosswinds Run Series now offers multiple race-day options designed for all ages and abilities; whether you’re chasing a PR\, enjoying a scenic walk or supporting a great local cause. \n5K Run/Walk\nOur iconic\, USA Track & Field-certified course is as fun as it is challenging\, perfect for walkers\, first-time racers and competitive runners alike. You’ll enjoy an exhilarating downhill first mile through the City of Canandaigua\, followed by the well-known climb up West Lake Road\, and finish strong on the rolling hills of Ferris Hills. \n10K Run\nIntroduced to the series last year and back by popular demand\, the 10K builds on the tradition of the 5K’s hills with a longer\, more demanding route for seasoned runners looking for a rewarding challenge. This USATF-certified course has a 90-minute time limit\, after which roads will reopen to traffic. \nKids Fun Run\nA half-mile course entirely on the event campus\, perfect for young runners (preschool through 5th grade). It’s a safe\, energetic\, and memorable way for kids to experience race day. Every child receives: \n\nRace t-shirt\nFinisher’s medal\nAccess to a fun post-race snack table\n\nMore Than a Race\nThe Crosswinds Run Series is more than a finish line\, it’s a movement with a mission. All proceeds benefit The Spot\, a local organization providing free school supplies\, clothing\, food and shoes to students in need across the Canandaigua and Victor School districts. Thanks to runners\, walkers\, volunteers and business sponsors\, last year’s event raised $13\,400 for The Spot. With the continued growth of the Run Series\, our goal is simple: make an even bigger impact in 2026. \nAre You Ready to Commit?\nWhether you’re here to tackle the hills\, cheer from the sidelines\, or support local kids in a meaningful way\, the Crosswinds Run Series offers something for everyone. \nJoin us and be part of a tradition that truly gives back!

SUMMARY:Twisted Branch 100K Trail Run
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nThe Twisted Branch Trail has everything you are looking for in an ultra running experience. This is a classic\, old school point to point trail that’s rooted in the Finger Lakes region of NY. Wind your way through some of the most brutal & beautiful places you can find. This is the perfect summer destination race. Bring your family and explore the trails\, parks\, wineries\, breweries & lakes. You know you want to run long\, now it’s time to get Twisted. \nFor more details visit our website \n20 HOUR CUTOFF!! \nAll Finishers – UTMB Qualifier – 4 Points\nWestern States Qualifier (Under 20 hours) \nCourse Overview\nThe Twisted course follows the historic Bristol Hills Branch trail\, a nearly 60+ year old trail stretching between 2 of the coolest small lake towns you can find anywhere in the world. This is the kind of race you bring your family to. The kind you can build a vacation around. There’s no nicer place to be in August than in the Finger lakes. \nThis race is hard. Do not let its course profile fool you. While this is a runnable trail\, this is not a groomed park trail. This unforgiving course challenges the strongest of runners both mentally and physically. Sections that appear to be flat on the elevation profile may be the hardest miles you do all day. Don’t underestimate how difficult it will be to finish this race. \nThe trail is nearly 95% single track\, winding its way through some of the most wild places you can find. Places you didn’t think existed in New York. \nCourse Details:\nEstimated Distance: 100k+ (feels like 65 miles)\nEstimated Elevation: 10\,000G/11\,000L\nAid Stations: 11 (fully stocked) 5 with EASY access for your crew.\nVolunteers: The very best in the business. \nCourse Profile \nShuttle Service & Camping\nWe offer a shuttle service to get you to the starting line. Shuttle service is on Friday night ONLY this year. Leave your car and it will be there for you on Saturday when you arrive at the Finish. With 20 hours\, you WILL finish!! The shuttle service option is available for an additional $10.00 at the time of checkout. \nCamping is FREE both nights. Friday night at Ontario County Park (starting line)\nCamping will be open on Saturday night at the finish line at the Hammondsport Fire Hall grounds (right next to our finish line area).
