The races will not be timed. Parents are welcome to run with their children. All spectators are strongly encouraged to cheer the kids on. \n5k Cross County Race\nThe 5k will be a cross country style race around Cobb’s Hill Park. Most of the race will be on grass and trails with some short stretches on pavement (see the course map below for more detail). The course will be marked with brightly colored flags and there will be several marshals on course to help runners. \nThe 20th Edition of the Tour de Pain\nMany years ago\, the Tour de Pain was born out of the age-old question of “what would happen if I just keep racing?” Now in its 20th edition\, the Tour de Pain has been enlightening Rochester area runners for decades. If you’re looking for glory\, then this isn’t the race for you. If you’re looking for pain\, then this my friend\, is the race for you. \nThe Tour will be held as part of the final IEXC race on August 25th. Immediately following the 5k race participants will complete a 1 mile race and then a 400 meter race. Might there be some special\, painful surprises to commemorate 20 years of Pain? Your journey to enlightenment begins with a single click. \nTo register for the Tour de Pain\, you must also register for the August 25th 5k race. \nPricing\nAll races are free to members of the Genesee Valley Harriers club. You will have an opportunity to join as part of registration if you are not currently a member. \nAll kid’s runs are free and do not require pre-registration. \n$35.00 for all four 5k races (discount applied at check-out) \n$40.00 for all four 5k races plus the Tour de Pain \n$10.00 for any single 5k race \n$15.00 for the August 25th 5k race and Tour de Pain \nAwards\nAwards will be presented immediately following the race. This is the power of the Patient Needs Fund; patients are able to focus more on their treatment and fighting cancer\, and not on the financial burden that so many of us have.

The first part will be through the Haunted Walk portion\, you will zig zag through Halloween themed places\, be careful of the Zombies\, they are always lurking about… The next part of the course will take you to the FARTHEST part of the Park and back\, but just because the course is open and in the field doesn’t mean there won’t be any Zombies\, Witches or…. worse. \nWALK Course: The course will be approx. 1.5 mile consisting of a zig zag walk through the scariest part of the 5K course. You will follow along the course\, hopefully there are no Zombies looming about as you make your way through the eerie path.
