SUMMARY:Race with Grace 5K and 10K
DESCRIPTION:The Race with Grace 10K \nWhy RwG 3.0?The Race with Grace (RwG) 10K was established in 1991 as an outgrowth of the participation of several men in the Spencerport Canal Days races during the mid-1980’s.  It had a two-fold purpose\, the more important one being a community outreach.  Secondarily\, it was play on the current Pastor’s name\, George Grace\, who was a runner.\nIn our inaugural year we had 185 registrants and 171 finishers.  Our attendance peaked in 2015 when we celebrated our silver anniversary race with 1245 registrants and 1121 finishers.  Over the race’s 31-year existence\, a total of approximately 5\,000 individuals have participated.  Five men remain who have finished every single RwG and ran virtually in 2020.  They are Stan Cipira\, Bob Dyjak\, Dave O’Leary\, Ric Perry and Doug Ralph.\nThe race established itself as one of the best races in western NY.  It has consistently been named one of NY’s finest races by New England Runner magazine.  In addition\, it has been recognized as one of the cornerstone races in the Rochester Runner of the Year series.  All proceeds\, once race expenses are deducted\, go to support C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association.\nWith the current race director stepping down due to work and family obligations\, no clear choice for a successor\, the race’s future appeared to be at crossroads. Thankfully\, as the “door” on the race was quickly closing\, the Rochester Running Company and Lakeshore Community Church agreed to manage and host this year’s race. \nAbout Lakeshore Community Church:\nFounded in 1995 by Vince and Sue DiPaola\, Lakeshore Community Church exists to help people discover and develop a growing relationship with Jesus. It’s a place where you can be real\, strengthen your relationships\, and make an impact in our world. When you’re ready\, check out Lakeshore for yourself; Sundays at 9 and 11am\, in person and online at live.lakeshorechurch.org. \nQuick Race info:\nThe entry fee includes a long-sleeved tech shirt. (The 1/4 Zip up can be upgraded at check out instead of the L/S T-Shirt\, you will ONLY get the Zip Up if you upgrade) Sizes are guaranteed if you register prior to November 1\, 2024. There will be plenty of food and refreshments\, complete computerized race results available online\, and race photos. Awards will be given to top male and female finishers in the Open\, and Masters (40+)\, as well as the 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place finisher in each age group. \n \nPREREGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP\nAvailable at Rochester Running Company 1387 Mt Hope Ave\, Rochester NY 14620\nTuesday 11/26 at Rochester Running Company 12p – 6p\nWednesday 11/27 at Rochester Running Company\, 12p – 6p\nRace Day 11/28 at Lakeshore Community Church\, 7:30a – 8:15a

SUMMARY:Wolfpack Multisport Race: Wayne Burlison Colon Cancer Awareness Run
DESCRIPTION:*This event is not directed or timed by Robinhood Racing. Please reach out to the event organizer with questions* \nREGISTER \nWolfpack Multisport is hosting a 3.17 mile and half marathon running event to honor Wayne A. Burlison. The race has a scheduled start time of 10:00 am. A portion of the proceeds from this event will be contributed to the Wayne A. Burlison Memorial Scholarship\, established in 2014 by Wayne’s wife and son. It is supported by Albion School employees\, various musical groups that Wayne was involved in and family and friends. \nThe race path takes the runners into the Mt. Albion Cemetery\, with rolling terrain and beautiful scenery.  The historic Mt. Albion Cemetery is a rural cemetery established in the 1840s on a glacial drumlin (landforms composed primarily of glacial till).  In 1976 it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district.  As you run\, you will pass Wayne’s site\, energetic volunteers to cheer you on\, and an amply supplied water station. \nIf you are not up for a run\, we would still love to have you join us for the walk on our 3.17 mile course. \nCome join us and break up the cabin fever we all get during the long winter months and let’s have some fun! \nAll finishers will receive a medal!
