Formerly known as the Crosswinds 5K\, the Crosswinds Run Series now offers multiple race-day options designed for all ages and abilities; whether you’re chasing a PR\, enjoying a scenic walk or supporting a great local cause. \n5K Run/Walk\nOur iconic\, USA Track & Field-certified course is as fun as it is challenging\, perfect for walkers\, first-time racers and competitive runners alike. You’ll enjoy an exhilarating downhill first mile through the City of Canandaigua\, followed by the well-known climb up West Lake Road\, and finish strong on the rolling hills of Ferris Hills. \n10K Run\nIntroduced to the series last year and back by popular demand\, the 10K builds on the tradition of the 5K’s hills with a longer\, more demanding route for seasoned runners looking for a rewarding challenge. This USATF-certified course has a 90-minute time limit\, after which roads will reopen to traffic. \nKids Fun Run\nA half-mile course entirely on the event campus\, perfect for young runners (preschool through 5th grade). It’s a safe\, energetic\, and memorable way for kids to experience race day. Every child receives: \n\nRace t-shirt\nFinisher’s medal\nAccess to a fun post-race snack table\n\nMore Than a Race\nThe Crosswinds Run Series is more than a finish line\, it’s a movement with a mission. All proceeds benefit The Spot\, a local organization providing free school supplies\, clothing\, food and shoes to students in need across the Canandaigua and Victor School districts. SUMMARY:Toni's Race: Strollin' for the Colon
DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nAccording to the Colon Cancer Coalition\, colon cancer is the 4th most common cancer in the U.S. and the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths.  Early detection can make all the difference! \nStrollin’ for the Colon is proud to hold Toni’s Race for its 15th year.  The event will be held again at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park.  As with past years there will be a USATF certified (NY23008KL) 5k race to be immediately followed by a 1-mile walk.  Strollin’ for the Colon is a non-profit organization with the mission to raise funds to support those who are fighting colorectal cancer.  Proceeds from this event will go to patients and their families who have financial needs resulting from treatment\, agencies that provide education about the importance of early screening for colon cancer\, as well as offer seed funding for research to beat this disease. \nAlong with the race and walk there is a fun run and other activities for kids.  There is fun\, music\, food and the opportunity to win great prizes!  Also attending are physicians and vendors to provide information and answer any questions about colon cancer and any related topics. \nFor your convenience\, we are offering Early Packet Pickup at the Rochester Running Co. store on Friday\, September 11\, 2026 from 4:00p to 6:00p located at 1387 Mt. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nSeptember is National Recovery Awareness Month. \nROCovery Annual Run/Walk and X-Challenge is a celebration of fitness and recovery\, and an important fundraiser for this life saving organization—and again this year\, it is both in-person and virtual so you can run and enter your results from anywhere in the world all month long! Run\, walk\, or just join our virtual community for the fun updates\, posts and pictures! \nIn just over 10 years\, ROCovery has engaged more than 11\,000 individuals in recovery from alcohol and substance use disorder. We provide a safe place for recovery of both mind and body\, helping people rebuild their lives and rediscover their inner strength and confidence through adventure\, fun\, and sober social connection. \nThis event celebrates the hope we find in recovery\, and remembers loved ones who have been lost to the disease of addiction.
