SUMMARY:Zombie Run For Your Life 5K
DESCRIPTION:  \nTimed Event\nWhat is a Zombie Run? Join us for a unique spin on a Halloween favorite. Family Fun Run for your life Zombie 5K\, where zombies chase\, scare\, jump out at you along your run! Think of it as a Haunted Hayride just…. a race\, well more appropriately…. a RUN FOR YOUR LIFE. The race is part of the Month of October “Halloweenathon” going on all Month long at the Town of Hamlin. **We encourage runners to wear costumes!** \n**New for 2022** The Haunted Walk. Join us to walk 1.5 miles through the park on our interpretation of a Haunted Hayride on foot. You will leave from the same location as the 5K Run\, and walk throughout the park around the Haunted portion of the course. Great for families or those who want a shorter distance but still enjoy the event. Includes Shirt with registration. **Costumes are strongly encouraged** \nWhat is a Zombie? \nIf you sign up as a “Zombie” you are NOT running in the 5K Race. You are being an active participant in the “Scaring” theatrical performances as runners make their way around the course. We recommend Zombies attend a Pre-Race meeting (At a date and time to be announced) to get detailed instructions on what is expected as a Zombie and to get your location spot along the course.  Zombies can collect left over Race Shirts if available. **No Zombie is allowed to make contact or come close enough to touch a Runner.** \nDate: October 22nd\, 2022 \nTime: Dusk (When the Zombies are most active!) 6:00pm Race Start Time \nLocation: Town Hall Park 1658 Lake Road\, Hamlin\, NY 14464 \nCost: **Price increases as you get closer to race day**\nRunners AND HAUNTED Walkers – $25 Now till August 31\, $30 from Sept 1 to Oct 22nd\, $35.00 on Race Day\n**18 and Under – $15 Now till August 31\, $20 from Sept 1 to Race Day**\nZombies – FREE (Shirt NOT included) \nRUN Course: The course will be approx. 5K consisting of two laps around the Town of Hamlin Park. The first part will be through the Haunted Walk portion\, you will zig zag through Halloween themed places\, be careful of the Zombies\, they are always lurking about… The next part of the course will take you to the FARTHEST part of the Park and back\, but just because the course is open and in the field doesn’t mean there won’t be any Zombies\, Witches or…. worse. \nWALK Course: The course will be approx. 1.5 mile consisting of a zig zag walk through the scariest part of the 5K course. You will follow along the course\, hopefully there are no Zombies looming about as you make your way through the eerie path. Don’t forget to look around the corner before you go\, you never know what is lurking behind it. \nWhat’s included: T- Shirt\, (Size guaranteed if you sign up by Oct 1) Post race water/snacks\, Screams\, and Spooky Noises \nAwards: (5K ONLY) There will be Age Group awards(U10\, 11-15\, 16-19\, 20- 24\, 25-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60-69\, 70+) including the top 3 Male and Female overall finishers. \nPacket Pickup: (5K ONLY) Friday 10/22 at the Town Clerks office 8a – 4pm AND Saturday 10/23 (Day of race) at the Town of Hamlin Clerks Office 4:30pm – 5:30pm

SUMMARY:Race with Grace 10K 3.0
DESCRIPTION:  \nTimed Event\nThe Race with Grace 10K 3.0 is back\nWhy RwG 3.0?The Race with Grace (RwG) 10K was established in 1991 as an outgrowth of the participation of several men in the Spencerport Canal Days races during the mid-1980’s.  It had a two-fold purpose\, the more important one being a community outreach.  Secondarily\, it was play on the current Pastor’s name\, George Grace\, who was a runner.\nIn our inaugural year we had 185 registrants and 171 finishers.  Our attendance peaked in 2015 when we celebrated our silver anniversary race with 1245 registrants and 1121 finishers.  Over the race’s 31-year existence\, a total of approximately 5\,000 individuals have participated.  Five men remain who have finished every single RwG and ran virtually in 2020.  They are Stan Cipira\, Bob Dyjak\, Dave O’Leary\, Ric Perry and Doug Ralph.\nThe race established itself as one of the best races in western NY.  It has consistently been named one of NY’s finest races by New England Runner magazine.  In addition\, it has been recognized as one of the cornerstone races in the Rochester Runner of the Year series.  All proceeds\, once race expenses are deducted\, go to support C.U.R.E. Childhood Cancer Association.\nWith the current race director stepping down due to work and family obligations\, no clear choice for a successor\, the race’s future appeared to be at crossroads. Thankfully\, as the “door” on the race was quickly closing\, the Rochester Running Company and Lakeshore Community Church agreed to manage and host this year’s race. \nAbout Lakeshore Community Church:\nFounded in 1995 by Vince and Sue DiPaola\, Lakeshore Community Church exists to help people discover and develop a growing relationship with Jesus. It’s a place where you can be real\, strengthen your relationships\, and make an impact in our world. When you’re ready\, check out Lakeshore for yourself; Sundays at 9 and 11am\, in person and online at live.lakeshorechurch.org. \nQuick Race info:\nThe entry fee includes a long-sleeved tech shirt. (The 1/4 Zip up can be upgraded at check out instead of the L/S T-Shirt\, you will ONLY get the Zip Up if you upgrade) Sizes are guaranteed if you register prior to November 1\, 2022. There will be plenty of food and refreshments\, complete computerized race results available online\, and race photos. Awards will be given to top male and female finishers in the Open\, Masters (40+)\, Veterans (50+)\, and Seniors (60+) categories\, as well as the 1st\, 2nd\, and 3rd place finisher in each age group \nRACE DAY \nDate: Thursday\, November 24th\nTime: 9:00 am EST\nLocation: Lakeshore Community Church  3651 LATTA RD. ROCHESTER NY 14612 \nCOURSE DESCRIPTION \nGiven that the majority of the new course is actually run on the same roads as the original course\, and it’s the third route in the event’s history\, it will be affectionately known as RwG 3.0. Now with its 3rd course however its core values\, fundraising\, and overall community involvement is just the same. We welcome you all back with a new course map\, new host location as we look to continue this Thanksgiving day Tradition for many more years to come. \n\nENTRY FEE \n$35 Entry Fee Now till Nov 16 (Week before race)\n$40 Entry Fee November 17 – November 23rd\n$45 Entry Fee November 24 – Race Day\n**800 Runners cap** Don’t wait to sign up!! \nSWAG \nLong Sleeve Tech Shirts – Guarantee size if you sign up by November 1st\nOptional 1/4 Zip Up Add on $15.00. ** You will ONLY get the Zip up if you upgrade** \nEARLY START OPTION AVAILABLE \nIn order to minimize the impact on our community\, we are offering an early start option\, beginning promptly at 8:30 am\, for anyone who would run/walk at a 12 minute pace or slower. This will allow us to reopen affected roads sooner than if everyone started at the same time. Please indicate you will be taking advantage of the early start option on the registration panel along with your predicted pace. A specific bib number series will be used for those taking advantage of this option. The early start runners will begin their race near the Finish Line. \nPREREGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP\nAvailable at Rochester Running Company \nTuesday 11/22 at Rochester Running company\, 11a- 5p\nWednesday 11/23 at Rochester Running Company\, 11a- 5p\nRace Day 11/24 at Lakeshore Community Church\, 7a-8:45a \nAGE GROUPS \nMale/Female: 0-9\, 10-14\, 15-19\, 20-24\, 25-29\, 30-34\, 35-39\, 40-44\, 45-49\, 50-54\, 55-59\, 60-64\, 65-69\, 70-74\, 75-79 and 80 & over. \nFAMILY-ORIENTED CATEGORIES\nWinners will be determined based upon combined times: Husband/Wife\, Father/Son\, Father/Daughter\, Mother/Daughter\, Mother/Son\, Brother/Sister\, Brother/Brother\,  Sister/Sister\, and 3-Generations (not gender specific).
