That’s right we are back again\, this time running our trails. Run our Trails will be the the LAST Tuesday of every month (April – September) We will be reserving the Hopkins Point Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park for restroom access. The plan is to run the various trails around Mendon Ponds Park\, each month will be a different trail with a slightly different distance as well. \nWhen:\nRace 1 – April 25\nRace 2 – May 30\nRace 3 – June 27\nRace 4 – July 25\nRace 5 – August 29\nRace 6 – September 26 \nWhere: Mendon Ponds Park (Hopkins Point Lodge) \nTime: 6:15pm – Each Month \nCost: $100 – Series OR $25.00 per race\n(Kids/Young adults under 18 years of age are $50.00 or $11.00 per race) \nDistance:\nApril – 3ish Miles\nMay – 4ish Miles\nJune – 5ish Miles\nJuly – 5ish Miles\nAugust – 4ish Miles\nSeptember – 3ish Miles\n \nVibe: Low frills\, everyone encouraging each other to do their best.  Fast times\, slow times… lets make some memories. People of all speeds and abilities are welcome and encouraged. \nWhat you get: Officially timed race\, live results\, series leaderboard\, a chance for prizes for each race. Each month you run you are entered into the series race page to see how your time stacks up throughout the entire series \nPost Race: \nBeer for 21+\, soft drinks and water for all \nPizza for all \nResults will be uploaded online following the race. \nParking: Hopkins Point Lodge area/Roads in Mendon Ponds Park \nBathrooms: Will be open within the Park \nSeries Runners SWAG: First 100 who Sign up will get a Run Our Trails Towel \nPacket Pickup: Packet Pickup for ALL RACES\nMonday Prior to Race Day: 12-6 at Rochester Running Company\nTuesday DAY OF RACE: 11- 4 at Rochester Running Company (hard cut off at 4PM) and 5:30 – 6:00 PM at the course \nRun our River: Sign Up\nJoin us on the SECOND Tuesday of every month for a 5K race along the river.  The course will remain the same throughout the summer so you’ll get the chance to compare your progress throughout the year.

SUMMARY:RH Kicking Hunger 5K Run / Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Rush-Henrietta Athletic Association\, in conjunction with the Rush-Henrietta Area Food Terminal (RHAFT) and the Town of Henrietta Recreation Department\, invite you to participate in the 6th annual Rush-Henrietta Kicking Hunger 5K in Henrietta\, NY. The 2023 race will provide participants with two options – a live event on Saturday\, June 3rd (8 am start) or a virtual event the weekend of Friday\, June 2nd to Sunday\, June 4th.  \nThe purpose of this race will continue to focus on bringing awareness and providing tangible solutions to the issue of hunger in our community\, as well as continuing the tradition of promoting exercise and family-centered events in our town. The 2018\, 2019\, 2020\, 2021\, and 2022 races raised $3\,300\, $5\,500\, $7\,000\, $9\,500\, and $6\,500 respectively\, and also allowed for RHAFT to collect hundreds of non-perishable food items. Race proceeds have directly impacted our local community by helping to fund both the Rush-Henrietta Central School District (RHCSD) Kicking Hunger Summer Food Program and BackPack Program\, as well as providing support for community food and student-centered programs through both RHAFT and the Town of Henrietta. Since February 2020\, we have handed out more than 1\,800 bags of food to local families through the RHCSD BackPack Program. The race has also allowed for the opening of the Rush-Henrietta School Food Pantry in the Good Shepherd Building on East Henrietta Road. This community resource\, which has been opened since November 2020\, continues to support local families in need. \nPRICING: Register by Sunday\, May 21st\, 2023 – $20 (all participants)\, pricing increases on May 22nd – $25 (all participants) \n2023 Race Participant Raffle Prize Contributors (List will be updated as race weekend gets closer): PARTICIPANTS MUST BE PRESENT AT THE RACE RAFFLE TO CLAIM PRIZES. DESCRIPTION:Annual 5K fundraiser for All Babies Cherished Pregnancy Assistance Center. Family fun walk/run. We recommend that you register online prior to the race to decrease the handling of cash and lines for registration due to pandemic concerns. You will be able to register online up until the start of the race using your smart phone and a credit card. There will be a post race ceremony with small prizes for top runners in each age group. Water and snacks will be provided post-race as well.
