This year\, we will also be celebrating our very own direct support professional heroes who work for Heritage Christian Services. Our event lands at the kick off of Direct Support Professionals Week\, a time to honor and celebrate the incredible work DSPs do every day to keep the people we support safe\, healthy and engaged in their own lives and in their communities. \nBy supporting the Heritage Hero\, you’re supporting people as they live their best lives — ones that are full of compassion and dignity. That’s why we fundraise every year to grow the Heritage Christian Services Foundation. DESCRIPTION:Join us on  Saturday\, September 9\, 2023 at Monroe Community College’s Brighton Campus \,1000 East Henrietta Road\, Rochester\, NY\, 14623 (USTAF certified course).  Register for the race now to take advantage of the Early Bird Pricing! \nYou can register for the Virtual Race and join us in spirit if you’re not in Rochester but still want to share support.  And\, if you’re a little uncomfortable in crowds\, join the Virtual Race! \nProceeds benefit Cancer Wellness Connections\, a local and independent nonprofit organization offering holistic online support and resources focused on the needs of people experiencing gynecologic cancers. \nSeptember is Gynecologic Cancers Awareness Month and according to the CDC\, all women are at risk for developing Gynecologic Cancers and the probability only increases with age. Help us in raising awareness of the symptoms\, risk factors\, prevention and early detection for cervical\, ovarian\, endometrial/uterine\, vaginal or vulvar cancer\, because as The Foundation for Women’s Cancers states\, every five minutes\, a woman will be diagnosed with one of these cancers. Show your support as we honor and celebrate the women and families in our community impacted by Gynecologic Cancers.
