If you do all three races\, but do not register for the series\, we cannot guarantee you will get the gift due to administrative logistics of tracking participants\, but we will try. \nWhen you register for the series\, you won’t be able to pick shirt options for each race. Instead\, when it’s closer to the race time\, the RD will transfer you to each individual race. Then you’ll be able to manage your registration. \nOther\nYou might have surmised there is an emphasis on food! I grew up hungry until I could earn money myself to buy food\, and while my company\, Obatron Fitness\, isn’t a non-profit\, each race will include three charitable components: 1) fundraising drive via registration for each host town’s food program for those in need; 2) a food drive for the same organization on race day; and 3) a portion of proceeds after expenses are covered will be donated to the organization. \nTraining Also Available\nSee menu for training options. \nDiscount Offers & Referrals\nEntering the series rather than individual races gets you pricing equal to or less than the total of the individual race fees (depending upon when you register)\, a lower RunSignUp fee than the sum of the fees when registering separately\, and a series gift. The training offered through the series registration page is at a much reduced price including bonus workouts not normally offered with Obatron Fitness group training. If you are a member of GRTC or Obatron Fitness\, you get a discount at checkout for that. Additionally\, you may earn back some of your registration by having other racers use your personal referral link\, generated after you register. See the “Referrals” section for more information. \nAwards and Swag\nWe’re known for our informal awards due to the nature of virtual events. You are encouraged to enter your time to establish a race history with us and for the fun of it. Besides\, you never know what may happen as the series gets underway! There will be race shirts\, medals\, goodies\, and Earned Extras. Plus\, the more sponsors and participants we get\, the more goodies we can put in your packet. \nGender Designations \nWe recognize there are those who would rather not pick male or female when asked to choose. Unfortunately\, we’ve not seen a way to provide other options within that field’s parameters. As such\, we ask your understanding that we are limited by the nature of registration tools and finite resources rather than disregarding anyone’s preferences in how they are addressed or define themselves. \nAdditional Details \nWe will post additional details as they occur. Any changes will be updated here\, on the Obatron Fitness Facebook page\, in our Facebook group\, and communicated through RunSignUp messaging.

DESCRIPTION:  \nTimed Event\nThe Jolly Roger  5K is one of the key fundraisers for the Palmyra-Macedon Select Choir.  Proceeds support the domestic and international travel of the ensemble\, as well as countless performance opportunities in the area. \nDue to concerns with large groups gathering\, we have decided to host this as a virtual race again this year. Runners will have the option of picking up their swag\, having it mailed to them\, or not taking any swag this year. \nThis event typically runs in conjunction with Palmyra Pirate Weekend! \nAwards: \nOverall M/F\nTop M/F in the following age groups 14 and under\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49\, 50-59\, 60+ \nResults: Record your race time on the results tab by 11:59pm EST on Sunday 8/8 to be eligible for awards. \nTo ensure you receive swag this year\, you must be registered by July 10th. We cannot guarantee swag for any runner who registers after July 10th @ 11:59 PM. We will be holding a swag pick-up event\, for those who elected to pick-up swag\, sometime the week of August 2nd. Racers will be notified of the specific date and time as details are finalized. Mailed swag will go out at that same time. We will email participants individually when swag has arrived and the pick-up date/time is confirmed. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT THE PALMYRA-MACEDON SELECT CHOIR\n\nThe Select Choir is a group of 30 students in 10-12 grade who are dedicated to vocal music and academics.    In addition to their regular school concerts\, the Choir is committed to musical community service throughout the area\, and presents the annual Madrigal Dinners each December.   The ensemble has performed extensively throughout the east coast\, including Boston\, New York City (Carnegie Hall in both 2014 and 2017)\, Philadelphia\, and Chicago.  International tours include Germany\, Austria\, Switzerland\, England\, Scotland\, Wales\, Greece\, and Italy.   Conductor Jill Davis has lead the group since 2007. \n\n\n\n\n\nCOURSE DESCRIPTION\n\nWhile this is a virtual race this year\, you can still run our traditional course. It is known to be a fast course and perfect for a PR.  It’s also part road and part canal path which allows for a scenic view of the Erie Canal as runners enter the Aqueduct Park area within the last mile.

SUMMARY:Rush-Henrietta Kicking Hunger 5K Run/Walk
DESCRIPTION:The Rush-Henrietta Athletic Association\, in conjunction with the Rush-Henrietta Area Food Terminal (RHAFT) and the Town of Henrietta Recreation Department\, invite you to participate in the 4th annual Rush-Henrietta Kicking Hunger 5K in Henrietta\, NY. \nThe 2021 race will provide participants with two options – a live event on Saturday\, June 5th (8 am start) or a virtual event the weekend of Friday\, June 4th to Sunday\, June 6th. \nThe purpose of this race will continue to focus on bringing awareness and providing tangible solutions to the issue of hunger in our community\, as well as continuing the tradition of promoting exercise and family-centered events in our town. The 2018\, 2019\, and 2020 races raised $3\,300\, $5\,500\, and $7\,000 respectively\, and also allowed for RHAFT to collect hundreds of non-perishable food items. Race proceeds have directly impacted our local community by helping to fund the 2018 Rush-Henrietta Central School District (RHCSD) Kicking Hunger Summer Food Program\, as well as providing support for community food and student-centered programs through both RHAFT and the RHCSD during the 2019 summer months. Current proceeds are being used to support the RHCSD Backpack Program which provides food to local families on a weekly basis. 2020 race proceeds are currently being used to fund the establishment and future maintenance of the Kicking Hunger Food Pantry in the Good Shepherd Building on East Henrietta Road.
