DESCRIPTION:The Crosswinds 5K Run/Walk is a community outreach event to benefit the Patient Needs Fund at Wilmot Cancer Institute’s Sands Cancer Center at UR Medicine Thompson Health in Canandaigua\, NY.  This Fund helps Sands Cancer Center patients who are undergoing active treatment and have identified financial constraints. It assists with the unexpected costs of a long illness\, providing financial assistance for necessities such as groceries\, automobile fuel for transportation to/from medical appointments\, and specialized medical needs. \nWe have raised  over $60\,000 thru this event. \nThis course is a USATF certified course.
