SUMMARY:Stella 5K and Kids Fun Run
DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Saturday\, April 27\, 2024\, for the Stella 5K and Kids Fun Run at the Stewart Lodge at Mendon Ponds Park in Honeoye Falls\, NY! The run is being brought to you by Camp Stella Maris in Livonia\, NY\, and proceeds from the event are being used to provide full and partial scholarships for campers as part of the Campership program. Please note: This course is entirely on TRAILS. No strollers\, dogs\, or headphones are allowed for safety. \nFor more than 97 years Camp Stella Maris has been a home away from home for campers to try new and exciting things\, meet new friends\, and challenge themselves. Located just 30 minutes south of Rochester on the shores of Conesus Lake\, CSM has programs for campers ages 5-17. Traditionally an overnight summer camp\, Camp Stella Maris also offers Day Camp and Teen Programs. When creating summer camp magic isn’t on the agenda\, CSM offers year-round programming\, facility rentals for retreats\, and team-building programs. \nRegister\n  \n5K registration entry includes: \n\nChip timing via Spirit Timing\nDigital race photos via Spirit Timing\nLong sleeve t-shirt (Please note: any registrations AFTER 4/10/24 are not guaranteed a shirt)\nPost-race food\n1 raffle entry for $100 off Camp Stella Maris registration\n\nThe Kids fun run includes:  \n\nLong sleeve t-shirt (Please note: any registrations AFTER 4/10/24 are not guaranteed a shirt)\nNumbered bib\nPost-race food\nFinishers certificate\nPre-race games & activities\n1 raffle entry for $100 off Camp Stella Maris registration\n\nPacket pickup \nHeld the morning of the race at the Stewart Lodge beginning at 8:00 am \nAwards  \n\nThe top 3 overall Male and Female winners will receive CSM merchandise\nAge Group Awards (certificates) to Top Male/Female 10 year age groups (14 & under\, 15-19\, 20-29\, 30-39\, 40-49…)\n\n\nWe will be donating (3) $100 Gift Certificates to Camp Stella Maris. Names are drawn after the run. DESCRIPTION:  \nTimed Event\nSeptember is National Recovery Awareness Month. \nROCovery Fitness’ 8th Annual 5K Run/Walk and X-Challenge is a celebration of fitness and recovery\, and an important fundraiser for this life saving organization—and again this year\, it is both in-person and virtual so you can run and enter your results from anywhere in the world all month long! Run\, walk\, or just join our virtual community for the fun updates\, posts and pictures! \nIn just over 7 years\, ROCovery Fitness has engaged more than 6\,000 individuals in recovery from alcohol and substance use disorder. We provide a safe place for recovery of both mind and body\, helping people rebuild their lives and rediscover their inner strength and confidence through adventure\, fun\, and sober social connection. \nThe ROCovery Fitness 5K celebrates the hope we find in recovery\, and remembers loved ones who have been lost to the disease of addiction. SUMMARY:ROCovery Fitness 5K Run/Walk and X-Challenge
DESCRIPTION:Get ready for the 2019 ROCovery Fitness 5K Run/Walk and X-Challenge! \nYou may choose to walk or run in either the 5K road course or the 5K trail run. \nIntroduced last year\, the ROCovery X-Challenge offers a little something X-tra for those running on the trail course. Anyone up for the challenge and who would like to participate in the X-Challenge\, will complete push-ups\, air squats and burpees AT EACH MILE (push-ups at mile one\, air squats at mile two\, and burpees at mile three). The total amount of push-ups\, air squats and burpees will be scaled based on the total amount with the total number being determined by the total amount of money raised for the event. Our fundraising goal is $60\,000\, so this is a serious challenge. Are you up for it?! There are no additional fees for the ROCovery X-Challenge\, but you’ll get some bonus ROCovery swag for completing it. \nThis year’s race will be chip timed\, with prizes going to top male and female finishers of the road course\, the trail course\, and the ROCovery X-Challenge.\nThe ROCovery Fitness 5K celebrates the hope we find in recovery\, and remembers loved ones who have been lost to the disease of addiction. Whether you are running for yourself\, for someone you love\, or for someone you’ve lost\, we hope you will come out and run (or walk!) for recovery with ROCovery Fitness!\nSpecial pricing is available for kids under 12 years old ($10) who want to participate in the race and get their own race t-shirt. As in years past\, we will have special events and activities for kids in addition to the 5K race courses\, and kids of all ages are welcome to attend and participate in all activities at no charge.
