DESCRIPTION:Are you ready? \nCome to the stadium on August 18 to compete in the official Rochester Beer Mile. \nWhat is a “Beer Mile”? \nIf you’re unfamiliar with a traditional Beer Mile\, the event has historical roots in the running community. The Beer Mile was usually only held underground but was held as a professional event for the first time in 2014\, finally legitimizing a long-standing but previously unofficial race. \nThe rules are as follows: Drink 1 beer\, run 1/4 mile. Repeat 4x. \nCompete Solo\, in a 2 person relay\, or in a 4 person relay.\nYou can choose to run both relays if you like.\nYou can also choose to run the solo and the 4×4.\nYou may NOT run the Solo and the 2×2 as there will not be enough recovery time in between. \nThere will also be a party area where individuals can relax\, drink\, and hang out even if they are not competing. \nThere will be prizes for each category: \n\nFastest men’s solo\nFastest women’s solo\nFastest 2-person relay\nFastest 4-person relay\n\nWe’ll be donating proceeds to Cystic Fibrosis research. \nWe can’t wait to see all of Rochester’s Runners come out and participate in this historic and fun event. \n***NO RUNNERS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 WILL BE PERMITTED TO COMPETE. IDs WILL BE CHECKED AT THE DOOR*** \nSchedule Of Events: \n5:30 PM: DOORS OPEN \n6:00 PM: NATIONAL ANTHEM \n6:10 PM: INDIVIDUAL BEER MILERS \n(4 HEATS\, 20 MINUTES PER HEAT\, OR WHEN EVERYONE IS FINISHED) \n7:30 PM: 2X2 RELAY BEER MILERS \n(2 HEATS\, 15 MINUTES PER HEAT\, OR WHEN EVERYONE IS FINISHED) \n8:30 PM: 4X4 RELAY BEER MILERS \n(2 HEATS\, 10 MINUTES PER HEAT\, OR WHEN EVERYONE IS FINISHED) \n9:00 PM:  AWARDS! \n**Safety is our number one concern! All individual participants should not intend to drive during or after the activity since participation will elevate blood alcohol content to exceeded legal limits. Participants are solely responsible for arranging a safe ride home from the event.**
