About the Beneficiary Joseph Paul Surace was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma in July 6th 2015 at the age of 32. He was told his disease was inoperable, and was given only a few months to live. Joe and his family were devastated with this terrible news. He has had several rounds of Chemotherapy and Radiation in Rochester when he was first diagnosed.

Able to qualify for clinical trials, Joseph is now undergoing several rounds of Chemotherapy. During all of this Joseph has suffered through Pulmonary Embolisms (PE), Kidney Stones, Hematomas, the loss of work, traveling expenses, and medical bills. Without the support of his family, clinical trials, and research center for Glioblastomas at Cornell  and additional medical treatment at URMC, Joe may not have lived through all of this. We celebrated his 33rd birthday November 12, 2015. We continue to hope and pray through these battles in an effort to win this war again brain cancer.
