Come run the best Cross Country races in Upstate NY for Open and Master’s runners. Individual and Club members compete for individual age group prizes and team awards. Members of Upstate NY Clubs compete for Series points, awards, and bragging rights. Championship Day on Sunday, November 6th, is also the USATF Niagara XC Championships.
These races are for the most experienced runners as well as beginners to the sport of Cross Country running. It’s fun for all and anyone may participate. The PGXC series is now in its 32nd year with five races hosted by local clubs in locations throughout the Western NY.
PGXC Series Awards: Overall winners M/W – $100 Wegman’s gift card, Age Group winners in10 year increments – $50 Wegman’s gift card, Top 10 in every age group – Wagner Vineyards Riesling, Top 3 teams in each age group – TBD
USTAF Niagara Awards: Niagara XC Championships (Nov 6th) $1000 purse: $250 Open Teams M/W, $250 Open Master’s Teams (based on age grading)
USTAF National Awards: Niagara XC Championships (Nov 6th) $400 stipend for winning Open M/W teams to attend the USATF Club Nationals in San Fran on December 10th, 2022

Individual scoring in Age Groups: Youth (U19), Open (19-39), Master (40-49), Veteran (50-59), Super Vets (60-69), Ultra Vets (70+)
In each Series race, the top 15 finishers in each age-group will receive points on a 20-17-14-12-11-10-9-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1 basis
(1) Best 4 races count
(2) Runners must compete on Championship Day to be eligible for individual Series-end awards.
(3) Individual scoring is based on the athlete’s age on their first series race of the season
