This event benefits patients of the Wilmot Cancer Institute’s Sands Cancer Center at UR Medicine’s Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua, with proceeds specifically going to the Patient Special Needs Fund, so local patients can pay for supplies and procedures not covered by insurance.
The Golisano Children's Hospital Stroll for Strong Kids and 5K is a fun filled event benefitting thousands of children in our community by supporting Golisano Children's Hospital. The 5K begins at 8:30am near Genesee Valley Park's Elmwood Ave. entrance. At 10:30 there will be a 1.5 mile stroll through Genesee Valley Park.

The Sepsis Challenge is held "for the love" of Cathy Lomnick, who passed away in 2008, in memory of all those who lost their lives to sepsis, and in honor of all sepsis survivors.

It is a fast, flat, road race through neighborhoods near East Rochester High School. This event is bringing awareness to Brain Cancer, and all proceeds from this race will be donated to a local family fighting brain cancer.
