Penfield Education Foundation 5K

The Penfield Education Foundation is excited to be hosting the third annual PEF 5K. This race/walk will start and end at the Penfield High School track on Sunday, October 13, 2019. This community 5K race/walk is intended to provide a morning of healthy exercise while supporting the Penfield Education Foundation (PEF). Children’s races will follow the running of the 5K (registration not required).
The Penfield Education Foundation was established in 2016 by a group of community, faculty and parent leaders who believe that education is at the heart of our Penfield community. PEF is a private, non-profit, 501(c) (3) tax-exempt organization. The goal of PEF is to raise funds to provide grants for school programs that are not supported through the District’s own budget and to support the awarding of scholarships to further the education of Penfield Central School District students. The PEF 5K is the main fundraiser to raise money to support PEF’s grant and scholarship programs. Following the 2018 PEF 5K, over 30 scholarships to Penfield High School graduates from the class of 2019.

- 5K registration – $25
- 5K Student rate – $15
- first 250 registrants get a seafoam NALGENE bottle!
- register by 9/25/19 to get the race tee-shirt!
Awards:
- $125 first male/female, $75 second male/female, $50 third male/female and trophies
- Age group winners: medal for top male and female in each age group (14 and under, 15 -18, 19 -29, 30 -39, 40 -49, 50 -59, 60 -69, 70+)
- Kids fun run medals to all participants
- Trophy cup for Penfield Central School District building with the greatest participation
