5K loop course on village streets and 0.5 mile on wooded park trail. Some rolling hills. custom t-shirts to first 80 registered. Commemorative mugs to first male and female and first male and female masters division. 10 year age groups. 1st and second place ribbons in each age group. Race proceeds benefit Benincasa Hospice in Mendon.

The event is being held to honor Steve Rettke and support sarcoma research at the Wilmot Cancer Institute. The 5k run/walk will begin roadside at Stewart Lodge in Mendon Ponds Park.

The Medved 5k to Cure ALS features a scenic course that starts right in front of Frontier Field, runs down toward Oak Street, and eventually takes you onto State Street. From State Street you turn right onto Main Street and then you take a right onto Plymouth. The race finishes inside Frontier Field, just behind home plate.
